Interview was had with Mayor JOHN N. MOORE, who hat he re-
ferred this matter to State's Attorney CON: ELL and Sherif of Mound
City, Illinois; that he ascertained from his close colored neighbors that a
man by the name of WASELNGTON was organizing the negroes in Pulggki, [)linois;

He stated that he has paid the above amounts to subject WASHINGTON for
himself ani also for his wife with the exception that he has not yet bought a
robe and fer for her.

Italy was to take the United States over; that he first said it would happen in
July, 1941, and when it did not happen then, he stated it was to oe in September,
1941; that all who did not join thie organization would be killed, but if they
joined, they would not be molested but would be made masters instead of servants
as they have always been in the pest; that by joining this organizetion he would
not have to fight in the Army because Italy and Japan ‘would take them by truck
and cus 9000 miles west and when the war was over would bring them back; thet
he also wes given one of the books whicn subject WASHINGTON called his Bible,
cut vhen his wife read some in chis book, they discovered it was against the
Christian religion, and he threw it in the stcve and burned it up and notified

about all ne kmows except that subject used to come to his house to read the daily
