Reference is also made to the memorandum to theDirector from the Department of Justice, dated January 22, 1943, in this matter, copy of which memorandum was made available to the Louisville al Field Division. In this memorandum it was ste re bie facts submitted in the report of Special Agent dated November 12, 1943 at Detroit, Michigan, it was not considers that there was sufficient evidence to establish prosecution under the Sedition Statutes. Further investigation was requested to establish possible action in connection with the advocation by the MSTA of the overthrow of the government by force or violence. In view of the fact that the investigation cenducted in the Louisville Field Division seems to indicate that there be possible action instituted against this organization and/or its | Lp members in Louisville, under the Sedition or Overthrow of the Govern- ment Statutes, it is requested that the_information contained in bye the referenced report of Special a as well as other pertinent. serials of this case, be referred to the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice for its consideration.
