It is believed that the letters were sent from the same person or group, as they are similar in nature and content. In the letter postmarked 01/27/2001, the writer warns that NOW, "is offensive to Islam and [{presumably, NOW membership] may be killed if you do not change or stop your operations." The letter gives a deadline of April 15th "to change". In the letter postmarked 02/26/2001, the writer refers to the "Sons of Islam" being outraged because NOW has not "heeded [previous] warnings". The letter further threatens that "You will soon become sacrifices to Allah!". Both letters end with "BANG:!® A check of FBI ACS revealed the above Minneapolis captioned case on the "Sons of Islam", also known as "King Fahd's Militia", in which a threatening letter was sent.
