After being advised of the identity of the interviewing agent and the nature of the interview, she provided the following: said that the offices of NOW received a ; typewritten letter in the mail on 02/28/2001 which was threatening in nature. The letter was postmarked 02/26/2001 from Atlanta, b6 Georgia and resembléd the style and content of a letter received on b7C 01/29/2001, postmarked 01/27/2001 from Columbia, South Carolina. believes that the letters are from the same individual or group. ' | The letter postmarked on 02/26/2001 includes the | following: "The Sons of Islam have been watching you and we see you have not heeded our warnings. This is outrage [sic] to the true faith. The policies of the U.S. have become further outrage! You b6 | will soon become sacrifices to Allah. Islam cannot be stopped and b7C i is taking over the world. You will not be in the way for much | longer. BANG!" | [| noted that NOW is not involved in matters related to Islam, other than supporting the initiatives of the Feminist Majority, 1600 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, Virginia, 703-522-2214, in denouncing the treatment of women by the Taliban.
