By letter dated June 13, 1955 the Bureau transmitted a copy of 4
memorandum dated June 9, 1955 from the Antitrust Division of the \
7. 3 Department of Justice, which requested that certain informa
tton and evidentiary material be obtained from a jobber or dealcr
in rifle scopes, inasmuch as allegations have been made that :
possible violations of the antitrust laws may éxist in connection
with the distribution and advertising of rifle scopes by five of
the largest manufacturers of such rifle scopes.
