For the information of the Bureau, the La Nuestre¢ Familia is a prison-spawned organization made up primarily of Mexican-American inmates. This organization had its beginning in the California Penal System and has since evalve. into w widespread "street" operation. The La Nuestra Familia is currently active as an organization throughout the state of California and is involved in a variety of criminal activity including robbery, bank robbery and extortion. The enclosed memo book was seized by local authorities at the residence of a wanted subject, known to be a member of the La B¥tpaga Familia.
