NICHOIAS said aithough he does not have the file available to check, he recalled that on about 10/1/55 the subject requested permission to visit Chine for the purpose of attending some conference. NICHOLAS added that shortly thereafter the Passport Office sent a letter to LEONARD B, BOUDIN, New York City, attorney of the subject, denying the subject's request.
