In accordance with Bureau instructions concerning the review of HCUA testimony contained in Bulet dated 6/8/83 captioned, “Un-American Activities Committees," subject's testimony before the United States House of Representatives, Sub-Committee of the Committees on Un-American Activities at a public hearing on 7/12/56 at Washington, D. C. has been reviewed. In answer to questions concerning his Communist activities, past and present, the Sub ject repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment. Subject is a Key Figure of the NYO and is carried on the SI of this division.
