(SEVENTH WORLD YOUTH FESTIVAL) In August 4, 1958, a confidential source made available a background statement on the 7th World Youth Festival, distributed by a U,S. Festival committee then in the process of organization in New York City. This statement sets forth that the Festival idea is supported by the World Federation cf Democratic Youth (cited as a Communist organization in the House Committee on Un-American Activities (HCUA) Guide to Subversive Organizations and Publications, anuary 2, 1957, page 94), with headquarters in Budapest, Hungary and the International Union of Students (cited aa a Communist organization in the HCUA Guide, above, on page 48 with headquarters in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Another gource on October 3, 1958, made available information concerning a Regional Youth Conference of the Communist Party, USA, held in New York City on September 27, 1958.
