On 5/9/61, Public Affairs Section, U.S. bi Mission Berlin, furnished the enclosed Photostat of am item from the 4/27/61 iseve of the East German newspaper "Neue Zeit," which contained @ writeoup of an interview with PAUL ROBESON, Frow this interview, it appears that ROBESON's plans for the future are to visit in East Germany and Hungary in the first weeks of summer, He then intends to go to Ghana and also to Guinea, if possible, as well as to other countries of West Africa. He has also received an invitation from Cube. He further indicated that he intends to go to Australia again and to devote the proceeds of concerts and films there toa the welfare of the aborigines.
