Kew York City, conferred with BENJAMIN Js“DAVIS, dre of the Harlem Section
of the CPA, and ROTHBART told DAVIS that he, ROTHBART, had talked with JOGH
(JOSHUA* LAURENCE) who thinks that PAUL ROBESON should be invited to a meet—
ing on Janudry 30, 1943. ROTHBART informed DAVIS that PAUL ROBESON was a
menber of the nu, not of the Communist Party, and JAMON-DAVIS pointed
out that PAUL ROBESON was interested in seamen regardless of any politics.
Consequently, DAVIS said he would invite ROBESON 6n the same day. Then
