INTERNATIONAL PUBLISHERS
The “Guide to Subversive Organizations and
Publications," revised and published as of December 1,
1961, prepared and released by the Committee on Un-
American Activities, United States House of Represent~
atives, Washington, D.C., contains the following
concerning International Publishers:
"tnternational Publishers
"1, ‘also pertinent to the matters under inquiry
are the Communist Party's publications and
publishing houses. International Publishers,
headed by ALEXANDER TRACHTENBERG, is established
in the record to be a publishing house in this
country for the Marxist-Leninist Classics,
among other literature. TRACHTENBERG
reports to the "Politburo" and the
National Committee of the Party con-
cerning its operation.!
