This is to advise that ROBESON arrived in Honolylu via Pan American
Airways on March 10, 1948, and his accompanist, LAWRENCE } ROW, arrived the
same date on the SS MATSOWIA, The third member of the RO ESON party, EARL
v ‘ROBINSON, arrived in Honolulu on March 11, 1948, Upon ROBESON's arrival at
- Henolulu Airport, he was greeted by the following persons, all of whom have
been identified as membera of the Communist Party locally: JACK W. HALL, Reg= *
ional Diredpr of the ILWU, identified member of the Executive Committee of the
Communist Perty in Hawaii during 1946 and 1947; JOSEPH EBALALIO, with alias JOB
/ RR, ILWU longshoreman who has been identified as a member of the Commnist
Party; TOYOMASA ‘OSHIRO, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 152, ILWU, (Pineapple and
Cemnery Workers), identified as a member of the Communi st Party; BENJAMIN
WINUI, with alias "BENNY BIG NOSE", Vice-President of Local 136, Il TLWO
