was dated August, 1949. This letterhead listed the subject as a Vice

observed the subject at Union Station, New Haven, Conn., at a
_- vime she was met by PAUDNRLOO PAl LLY, EDDIENNCLSON, and MIKE~SPeicER.
This delegation was believed to be a representative Proup from the New
ven Chapter of the Peoples Party of Connecticut, According to and
both of known reliability, all four members of this Peoples Party
delegation are members of the CP in the New Haven area. reported

EMILY PIERSON and ANXA LOUISE STRONG at the Pierson heme on March 10 and

Informant aa at which time the subject attempted to explain the reason
for ANNA LOUISE STRONG's expulsion from Russia, According to the informant,
the subject pointed out that *all of us*® and “all of them" know that
there is nothing wrong with her (Anna Louise Strong), and indicated that
the reason Strong was expelled from Russia was the fact that she, Strong,
desired to go into an area (China) on which they (Russia) wanted no
attention focussed,

hope in their future is some place quite different,
