74 | by EDASULLIVAN entitled ®Little Old New York". In this column it was reported that
a a listed PAUL ROBESON in A,5 on the Media, Was he aboard when the ship sajied?*
ir. CLARE, an agent of the State Department, General Post Office Building,
New York City, advised that PAUL ROBESON did not sail on the Media, He stated his
office had checked the passenger list of the Media and that the only ROBESON listed
(waa one PROBESON, born in Canada and residing in England. CLANS further ad-
vised that Custom officials had been alerted to watch for PAUL ROBESON and that
| they reported PAUL ROBESON did not sail on the Medis.
| CLARE stated he had called the passport division, State Department, Wash-
_) ington, D.G, and was informed that under no condition would PAUL ROBESON be issued
"a passport. ?
