On November 6, 1957, advised that in November,
1957, PAUL ROBESON in discussing his recent concert tour
in Celifornia, indicated that various individuals in San ~
Francisco, and Oakland, California, were working to obtain
an auditorium for him. He stated that during his recent
tour he had sung in an auditorium in Stockton, California, —
and befove a ministers union in Sacramento, California. -.
Subject stated he was extremely well received in California, “
and he planned to return to the West Coast near the end of D
November, -1957. He further indicated that possibilities
existed on the West Coast for him bo engage in radio broad-
casts. ;

November, 1957, the subject expressed the opinion that he
is at his best when singing in California and a possibility
existed there that he can get someone in Oakland to make
his recordings.
