in the United States, wrote Campos at the Colunbia Hospital end assured him

The headquarters of the Council on Africen Affeirs is loceted in Kew
York City and hes been in existence since 1941. It is a successor to the
international Cozmnittee on African Affairs, and ves orgenized ostensibly for the
purzose of studying conditions of life and work in Africa and to prepare publi-
cations acqueintins the public with such conditions. This orzanization was
dominated by the Comzunist Party almost from its inceptione

City, which had been called by the Council on African Affairse In addition to
Miss Buck, the sveaxers at this meetings were: ix Yersen; Lillien Hellman, well--
known pleyirisnt; Joseph Curran, President of the National Laritime Union, CIO;
