Applicant was born Janusry 9, 1913 at Yorbe Linda, Californie. He is
ania singla and resides with his parents. Eis father ig a grocer. He has
two. brothers who are students. He has never been arrested or involved
in any kind of trouble, sor hava any monbers of his family. He tekea

touch system. He has hed no training or exrerience with firearms.

Applicant attended public grecner sehool at Yorbs Linda, G hifornia,
and high school at Fullerton end Whittier, o-Lifernis, graduating from
the latter school \in 1930, thereefter enteri:s the Whittier, College where
he was awerded an’AS Degree in 1934, havins mejored in nists. He then
“er enrolled in the law sehool at Duke University, receiving an “LL.B Degree

He claims, however, that in the Sumer of 1931 he worked et time for
the Waittier College, interviewing prospective students. (This work was
done under the supervision of the Acting Fresident at thet time, a Dr.
Merbert Harria. He claims thet in the Swmers of 1952 and i938 he rented

which he operated on his own account, doing business with the Richfield
Oil Produete-Co, In the Summers of 1934 and 1935 he assisted his father
