June 1, 1932 Director. 7 | | £37 2b6e$¢ Bureau of Investigation Departaent of Justice fashinston, DeCe Re: Unknorn Subject 8 Kidnaping & Murder of Ches Dear Sir: With reference to my report dated May 27, 1952 which covers the interview with P, MiltorfGaglio and refers to John J Mgauermiester and aliases; also report of Agent Turrou, dated Mey 28, 1932 which covera interview with JosephxPerrone as to his possible identification of Bauermiester as being the party "John* who contacted John <fondon, it being noted that Perrone failed to identify him, I am enclosing £ herewith to the Bureau copies of the pictures of Bauenniester, Janes AXelly and arthur Bendy, who were involved with Bauemiester at one Bb time, which were 6 bited to Perrone; also a collective picture of the various members of the so-called Purple Gang in Detroit, it being noted that in previous reports it is indicated that Joe Tocco is reputed not to be a menber of the purple Gang. Possibly the Bureau would care to refer copies of /the repUrts in question to the Stete Police, with the copies of the bictures previously above referred to, as {t is possible that they\might care to exhibit these pictures to John F. Condon, *e not having contected Condon for reason that we are not feniliar with the situation as to the manner in which Condon is being handled at this time in connection with the investigation being con- ducted by the New Jersey State Police.
