Kennedy left Montgomery today
at 11:30 a.m. for Columbia, 5&.C.,

The attorney general was zreet-
ed today with both friendliness
and cool disdain by the milling
crowd of some 300 persons who |
had gathered this morning at
‘the State Capital.
| Kennedy arrived for his con-
ference at 3:33 a.m., less than
20 minutes alter 17 secretationist
‘demonstrators were hauled off
‘by local police for parading with-

tiser.
He had visited the newspaper
Wednesday night, but Hall was not
present at that time.
Kennedy was in the air at
11:37 am. today, ending his visit
inAlabams.
