The. article indicated that In an open letter aponsored by the JAFRC, transmitted to President TRUMAN, he was "warned that the U.S. was in grave danger of destroying its prestige in Western Europe and South America by inaction or tacit approvel of pro-FRANCO efforts 48 the UN. The article stated thgt this letter was signed by & number of persons including Professor ROBERT 5. LYND, Golumbia University. A press reledae of the JAFRG, 801 Madison Aveme, New York, New York, dated June 7, 1950, referred to an open letter to President TRUMAN which was signed. by Professor ROBERT S. OYND, Columbia University, and others.
