The purpose of the meeting was to plan activities in connection with the passage of FEPC legislation and the organization of a delegation to attend a demonstration at the Lincoin Menorial, Washington, D.C. on 1-15-50, under the auspices of the NAACP, Wilkins stated at the meeting, the WAACP definitely did not desire the participation of the CP in thie demonstration. The front page of this report contains the following notation: "Not disseminated - see memo to Belnont dated 2-5-51 JWJ."% rh a ae 47S hd cata taburgh *The memo referred to above recommended no diasenination of the report on the basis of inconclusive tnformation concerning eK The "New York World Telegram and Sun" on 1-10-50 carried an article by Frederick Foltnan, staff writer, entitled: "Civil Rights Parley Brushes off Commies." The article quoted from letters exchanged between Roy Wilkins, NAACP Acting Secretary and Chairman of the Nattonal Civil Rights Mobilization, and Willian L.
