The "New York Tines" on 3-10-49 contatned a statenent by Walter White of the NAACP asserting that "the NAACP was not taking orders from any subversive group or power, Moscow or otherwise." White stated he was making the statenent because of the recent revival of communtst activity tn enall units of the association.
