VISIT OF ROY WILKINS, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF COLORED PEOPLE TO MISSISSIPPI TO PARTICIPATE IN PROTEST MARCH AT CLARKSDALE, MISSISSIPPI, NOVEMBER 22, 1969 Wilkins addressed the group at that location, with particular reference to the decision of the Federal Court in Mississippi, to exclude children from school if they have refused to take achievement tests on which their assignment to particular schools will be based. He cited the need for white and black citizens to resolve this problem because it was his opinion that keeping children from school would not be the solution.
