The "Hartford Courant", a morning newspaper published
daily in Hartford, Connecticut, carried a story on page
one, October 22, 1970, stating that law students from
the University of Connecticut were suing city and state
law enforcement officials for the right to carry a Viet
Cong flag in protest against Vice President SPIRO AGNEW's

carried an item stating that the University of Connecticut
law students had won the right to carry the Viet Cong
flag, as they were granted a temporary restraining order
which prevents city police from arresting them on illegal
flag charges, The order was approved by United States
