She was on her way to an announced open mecting featuring ROY--WILKINS of the NAACP. Unknown to her, the meeting had been taken over by members of the Black Students Union, who had thrown out white students and others. She entered, stood in the rear of the auditorium-sized classroom for a moment, letting her eyes adjust from the sunlight. A groups of six or eight young blacks, pretty obviously there as a goon squad, crossed the rear of the room and told her to get out. She said that she was there for the meeting.
