According to Ur. Donald L. Nicholson, Chief, Security Division, State Department, the State Departnont has identified all of the 8l cases cited by. McCarthy, and approximately 68 are no longer working for the Dopartmont. Nicholson by the Richardson Loyalty Comnission, and that the State Dopartment is not too Mr. Nicholson also stated that it had been agreed among Kr.!Peybon'rord, Department of Justice, Donald Dawgon of the White House, and Mr. Peurifoy of the At this timo, all tho files, including Bureau reports on tho 8l cases mentioned by. MeCarthy, have been transferred to the Thite House. The other loyalty cases are being worked on by the State Department at this time, and are being referred to the. Thite House soon. Wr. Nicholson informed that he assuned Peyton Ford had discussed the referral of these cases to the White Rouse, particularly so in view of the fact that there are Bureau investigative reports in most of them.. Nicholson further stated that it was his understanding that the White House would Whit, House would not permit the files to be renoved to Capitol Hill for review.
