Allegation by Senator McCarthy
Case No. 18: "This individual was thoroughly investigated before being
hired on December 26, 1946. While the file indicates that this woman
was a Communist, I am not too sure that she was not a psychopatic case,
She was hired when the file showed a great deal of Communistic activity
on her part."

in connection with the State Department Appropriation Bill for 1949. Under
the testimony of Hamilton Robinson, Director, Office of Control, Division
of Security and Investigation, on January 28, 1948, there is set forth
