THREAT AGAINST SENATOR EDWARD M, KENNEDY
INFORMATION CONCERNING

Rixeyville, Virginia, advised she was calling long distance from
Rixeyville to warn of a plot to assassinate Senator Edward M.
Kennedy on the steps of the Capitol Building in Washington,D.C.
at 4 p.m. on January 11, 1966,
She stated she became aware of this plot when voices
she had been hearing since last July or August had instructed her
to perform the assassination. Although she later stated she had
seen some "people'tt she could not further identify, outside her
window last night, she stated initially she had never seen these
people, did not know who they were and explained their ability
to communicate with her by the fact the "house is wired." These
voices had told her they had selected her to act on their behalf
Since she was attractive and could get close enough to the Senator
to be able to shoot him. "They" were to pick her up at 8:30 a.m.
January 11, 1966, to take her to Washington, D.C, and claimed that
if she told anyone "they" would wipe out the whole Kennedy family.
When asked for information regarding her background, b6
she stated the was a cattle farm in Culpepper bic
County, Virginia and she was not under a doctor's care at the
present time. She admitted having an "alcohol problem'' and to
having been committed to the Westbrook Sanitorium, Richmond,
Virginia, in August 1965, for two or three weeks. She heard the
voices there also, and was told they were the result of "DT's"
but she did not believe it. She explained she heard the.voices
mainly when her nerves are bad and she had been drinking. She
stated she was calling from telephone number West 7-3291 and her
husband was not home. When asked who was with her, she stated
her aunt and uncle were there and when asked if her uncle would
come to the telephone, she stated "he would just tell you I'm
crazy," and then hung up.
