On May 27, 1969 who identified
himself as a resident of
Chicago, 6
Illinois, with home telephone number appeared pie
at the Boston Office of the FBI. Mr stated that
he had just come from the office of United States Senator
Edward M. Kennedy, which is located in the John F. Kennedy
Federal Building, Boston, Massachusetts, D
Mr.[ advised as follows:
He had made a special trip from Chicago, Itlinois, y.
to Boston, Massachusetts, in order to notify Senator ale
Rdward Kennedy about a threat on his life. He stated that bID
he had information that an attempt would be made on.
Senator Kennedy's Life within the next 60 days. Mr. [|
stated that he was a great admirer of Senator Kennedy
because the. Senator and his brothers were the only people
in publi ho seemed to want to do anything for black
people, stated that he would furnish no details
concerning the alleged plot to kill Senator Kennedy to
anyone except the Senator. He stated that he had already
requested an employee of Senator Kennedy's Boston office
to Gall the Senator in Washington, D, C., to arrange for a
pexsonal interview with the Senator, put this employee had
deciined to set up such an interview.
Mr. indicated that he planned to leave .
Boston for Chicago on May 27, 1969, and he felt that he be
had made every effort to notify Senator Kennedy and the bIC
propér authorities concerning the alleged plot to kill the bID
Senator. [| refused to furnish any information concern-
ing either the Tocation where the attempt on Senator Kennedy's
life would be made, the individuals who would make Sucn an
attempt or the date on which such an attempt would be made,
He stated he would make this information known only to the
Senator.
