Senator Edward M. Kennedy
On June 9, 1969, _the Lapeer Post of the Michigan
State j i ed that on June 7,
1969, Lapeer, Michigan,
advised them that he was in the Sawdust Bar, M-24, Lapeer
County, Michigan, when he was approached by three unknown
individuals. One of these people gave him a business card
with the printing "Jim's Excavating, Septic Tanks and Sewers,
Basements, 6182 Sur u . e card also
contained the names The
name Jim's Excavating had lines drawn through it and the
name handwritten above. [___|rtatea that this
individual inguired as to his political leanings and then
showed him a money clip with four $1,000 bills and two $500
bills and asked how much he would want to assassinate the
u t Kennedy Brother", Unknown Subjects also gave
approximately $70.00 in cash. Arrangements were
made for Unknown Subjects to contact LT at his residence
on Sunday, June 8, 1969, however, he was not contacted.
On June 7, 1969,L______| contacted the Michigan
State Police but on arrival at the bar the Unknown Subjects
had departed. Method and direction of departure unlrown.

age 50, hair blond, bleached or dyed,
dressed in white shirt and four-in~hand
tie.
