In addition, these police are authorized to protect the person of the Chief Justice and any Associate Justice of the Supreme Court or any officer or employee of the Court while engaged in the performance of official duties. In the performance of these duties, the Supreme Court Police can make arrests for any violation of the laws of the United States and any regula- tion under such law.
