C. 20510, marked personal was received in the Chambers of the Chief Justice on 2/22/74 at 2/41 p.m. The letter was dated 2/17/74 and is typewritten and unsigned. The letter consists of 5 paragraphs and the 4th paragraph contains the statement, “If the Hearst girl is killed or even molested T ahatl male tha nensneocary anntante ma naw immaediatala 2 8esG24 TAS +0 GSCSSsaLly Cereal tis aia pay ~ammec.arves.y; $6,000,000 to have 6,of your members killed." The letter was examined by the FBI Laboratory. The Laboratory advised the paper contained a watermark "Four Star Bond, Southworth Company, USA, 25% cotton Tiber.” Also noted was a mark below the first letter “t" in the word cotton which appeared in the watermark.
