As you are aware, from time to time we have located certain files and documents indicating surreptitious entry activity not previously brought to your attention, and falling within the scope of your inquiry. Recently, one section of an FBI Headquarters (FBIHQ) file came to our attention which, because it concerns the assignment of informant symbol numbere and informant coverage, warranted review to determine whether _gor not any of the numbers therein might rieova: beencameigmed to entry activity. The "Security Informant Program" file, 66-2542-3, in maintained to account statistically for the informant coverage in all field offices, and to show additions to, and deletions from, informant programs in each office. The file consists of monthly, quarterly and other periodic submissions from each field division. There are two sections of this file: the main file, and the "JUNE" file. (Xj) } ' i MAILED 2 .
