From January, 1966, to the present time, there have been 92 surreptitious entries conducted in connection with investigations handled by the Special Investigative Division. All of these entries have been under authority of court order and in accordance with Title III of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, and were under- taken for the purpose of installing electronic devices for the interception of oral communications. In each instance, at the conclusion of the court~-authorized period of inter- ception, a second entry was made for the purpose of retrieving the electronic device, Further, in compliance with the provisions of the above act, subjects of interception were advised no later than 90 days after the termination of the period of the court order that their conversations were intercepted by the Government, i ree and nine, information a ndum is not retrievable at GRUINOE-KM In regard to item four, all entries were in-~~ ~~ —-~ accordance with court orders regarding criminal activity on \ the part of individuals.
