DEBRA KENT MISSING PERSON Melissa Smith and a large number of high school teenagers in the area. The girl accompanied the man to the parking lot. He grabbed her, forced her into an automobile and attempted to handewff her. One handcuff was placed on her wrist and he dreve away with her in the car, and when the car stopped, she escaped. A search of the parking lot near the Viewmont High School where Debra Kent disappeared disclosed a handeuff key which fit the handcuff retained by the girl whe was assaulted at the Fashion Place Mall on November 8, 1974. Tt appears that all three of these incidents may have a sinilar basis, Beeause of the widespread local publicity, law enforcement officers in the entire area ane joining in an inquiry to identify the subject who is believed responsible For the murder of Melissa Suith, the disappearance of Debra Kent, and the attempted abduction of the young girl at Murray, Utah. - 25
