LEE MELISSA SMITH MISSING PERSON 00: SU During recent ily contact has been maintained with b6 or the latter two b7c with the Homicide Squad, Salt Lake County SO, in connection with the investigation they have been conducting concerning the death of MELISSA SMITH and the related cases. Investigation with the SO appears to be directed as follows: On 6/2/74, the body of a young girl was found in the Green River near Grand Junction, Colorado. She was unidentified for a long period of time but Grand Junction authorities recently identified her as SANDRA JEAN WEAVER, a native of Racine, Wisconsin. Grand Junction authorities, in contact with S80 at Salt Lake City, Utah, indicated that the victim had beensexually assaulted, and murdered in almost exactly the same fashion as were both MELISSA SMITH and LAURA ANIE. SO has been conducting investigation with several deputies assigned as Grand Junction authorities learned from Wisconsin that thé victim at Grand Junction had been employed by a trucking company of Salt Lake City immediately prior to her death.
