SU 79-125 suspect in the rape-slaying of several girls from. that area. The details concerning these murders are similar to those of the girls in the Salt Lake City area. BUNDY was subpoeaned to appear in a police line-up and was identified by the woman who escaped from an abductor in the Murray shopping center as the individual she escaped from. He has been charged with kidnaping and attempted murder. BUNDY was also identified by two witnesses as being present at Viewmont High School the night DEBRA KENT disappeared from that high school. BUNDY has refused to be interviewed or to make any comment and at present is not charged in any of the slayings or in the abduction of DEBRA KENT. Salt Lake City will continue to follow investigation being conducted by local authorities to determine whether or not there is a possible Federal Violation and to furnish assistance where possible. ~2~
