CONSIDERED EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, WITH UNLIMITED AMMUNITION
AND WEAPONS, AND APPROPRIATE CAUTION SHOULD BE EXERCISED
DURING ANY PHASE OF INVESTIGATION. ADDITIONALLY, BE
ADVISED OF POSSIBLE THREATS BY ARYAN NATIONS MEMBERS
TOWARD FBI PERSONNEL.

Although somewhat redundant, Little Rock will repeat
some of the information contained in its letterhead memorandum
of July 2, 1987, so as to provide continuity and an appreciation
of the full scope of this investigation.
A. HISTORY OF THE GROUP
In April, 1985, a warrant was obtained for
the search of a 224-acre compound in Marion County,
Arkansas. This militarily fortified compound was operated
under the name, "The Covenant, The Sword, and the Arm of
the Lord," (CSA) by right-wing extremist JAMES DENNIS
ELLISON.
On April 21, 1985, approximately 400 federal
and state law enforcement officers surrounded the CSA com-
