This is to confirm a telephone conversation
between Mr. A. B. Caldweil. Chief, Civil Rights Section,
sand Spectal Agen of this Bureau on
.~ September 30, 1956, and to confirm a conference between
_ Messrs. Caldwell Eenry Putzel of the Civil Rights Section
and Special heen on October 1, 1956.
Mr. Caldwell advised on September 30, 1956, that
he had received a telephone call from Mr. Thurgood Marshall,
General. Counsel for the National Association for the Advancement
of Colored Feople (NAACP), regarding activities ty Texas
