All Agents working on the eace denied that Amr } arfomnaniad tham an ¢h On tember 24, 1947, Marshall directed a letter to the Bureau regarding th ase and also alleged that the FBI could not locate a certain witnesr that Marahall had no diffieulte in Anding Tt wan davalnnad that while =e ——— SS SS Se SS Sy SE EAS SES or We VE FSS eS Bae eee were attempting to locate this individual, prior to finding him, the U.S. Attorney directed the FBI to hold its investigation in abeyance and, consequently, the attempt to locate the witness was discontinued. On 12-27-46 Marshall wrote to the Attorney General stating that he, ; Marshall, agreed to bring to the Attorney General's personal attention matters which effect Negroes in connection with the Department of Justice.
