The results of the 1961 investigation have previously been furnished to you. Tragedy herewith is a memorandum summarizing the results of the s ip eeenon concerning Judge Marshall's activities sincd4 © 2 Py 4 ‘ During the 1940s Judge Marshall, who was then specie Counsel for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Legal Defenze and Educational Fund, Incorpora made several charges against this Burean in connection wit. civil righta cases. One of these charges was that a police officer, who had allegedly killad a Negro in Tennessee, ~ asecmpanied FBI Agents during their investigation. This allegation was denied by all Agents working on the case.
