Qa of Dallas Public Schools, termed e first step of Dailas schools" integration & success. —— ETT - On September 6, 7 tha Il, on the evening of September 5, 1961, a dummy was found ban ing from a flagpole at W. W. Bushman School in the 4200 block of Bonnieview in Dallas, Texas. This dumay was made of bluse jeans and @ black-and-white checked shirt stuffed with news- papers. The head was sade out of white cloth darkened with black shoe polish. There was no sign on this dumzy. SEP other advised that anti-integration stickers vere IOUbO"on toe windows of the Winnetka School in Dallas, Texas, on the morning of September 6, 1961. advised neitber of the above schools was among those integrated on September 6, 1961. Qua os10: that at each of the eight integrated schools, either a police inspector or police captain was stationed with 12 police officers. L7c There were 50 more police officerg in a apecial squad within five minutes of each school ready to handle any trouble. Radio station ber 6, 1961, interviewed one who entered the Roger Q. io station ERLD reported that the only crovds outside. the integrated schools were newsnen who were there with apecial passes, This document contains neither recommendations nor conclusions of the FBI.
