Tae following additional information has been received
by teletype concerning the captioned individual. b7c
Thurgood Marshall all of his life and has the
utmoet respect for him and recommended him for the position
for which he is being considered. Me had nso information
eoncerning any of Marshali's organizational connections.
In 1953, Marehall's name reportedly was on a partial
mailing list of the Rational Committee to Defend Negro Leadership.
Ou September 19, 1961, a confideatial informant
advised that he knew Marshall by name but had no knovledge
of anything unfavorable or subversive concerning hin and
could give no further inforsatios.
Results of record check at Central Intelligence Agency
and the Security Office af the State Department disclosed no
additional pertinent information or derogatory information.
This completes the investigation. Reports follow.
