alarming uniformity many United States dailies published .
the news that the so-called7Fair Play for Cuba Committee"
was disbanding or was ceasing to exist. Yt is evident that
the publicity directors fer those defenders ef FIDEL CASTRO .
RUZ and his government prepared a single press release, =—_..
called their friends and comrades en various newspapers: sis’
and gave them the signa] that the time had come to publish
the obituary for t maunist Cuba", because
it seemed to be involved in something that was more serious
than all the other complications which it had had: ‘namely,
its connection with LEE HARVEY OSWALD, supposed assassin ef
Presideat KENNEDY, which would henceforth be a heavy leaden
weight on. the Committee, om CASTRO, and to some extent, on
KHRUSHCHEV, himself, because ef the disrepute ef the crime,
which, im addition, is very prejudicial te International
Communism in these times of "peaceful coexistence”,
I am sure that the Communists decided te do away
with the "Fair Play for Cuba Committee" because it suits
them to do so at this time, but they have already made
planus to set it up again under some other mame such as
"Cuban-American Friends", "Free Cuba under. Castre", er
something like that.
The release given te the United States press places
