‘ities of the dark shape behind them. The... wis a
tiny while light behind which did not seem to be att-
ached fo the object in any wey; but as the night was
very dark, she sdmits that this could also have been
a star. The colored lights ware not blinking, and. the
Object. séemed not to move, although she of course
was moving towards it in ber car. She described the
Sdject (which, the admits, she caw very indistinctly
im the almost Gomplete darkness), asa black wing-
like thing which made no noise. Then she suddenly
thought “Surely it can't be a plane, this low. Par-
haps i is a flying saucer". The size of the 2 colored
fights was amall, aboul the pize of ordinary car
blinker-lights. If the witness hed stopped te inveatig-
ate, this could have been a most important sighting.
Unfortunately, che piatered to continue on ner way,
and thus fost a greal oppariunity.
Thursday April 33th around 6.15 p.m., Victoria's
lights suddenly all dimmed for a. couple of saconda,
and at that moment, witnesses # flown chanced to
see a colored object streak scrace the sky. The
Press tried to ‘explain’ hit dimming to lightning up
at Campbell River, some 200 miles away: this, how-
ever, would seam unconvincing, in view of the num-
erous pas! cases where » certain type of UFO has
tepeatediy caused the dimming, and indeed the
blackoui, of electric Lights in widely separated arses.
Ht t@ alec well-known to researcher that other types
wt UFO's do noi atiect siectrical insisiistion: on the
other hand, # is possible that al) UFO's may have
the ability t affect such installations, or to refrain
from doing #o, at will.

wan taken by Dr. dose A. Lanuza, professor ai the
Serborne in Paris and at the Autonomous National
University of Mexico, when he travelled aboard an
aarplane of the Compasia Mexicana de Aviation from
Masico City to Guadalajara.” (~ 1 will be rememb-
ered by some readers that: many times George Adam-
ski spoke of a saucer base in the mountains around
Guadalajara. - Ed.)

presence of another flying object. It in of a circular
whape and has in its upper part a ivansparent dome,

Also in “EL HERALDO",
Flying saucers are seen in clear daylight
Thay were observed near Montavides.
Montevideo (UPI) - Unidentified Fiying Objects
were observed In this capital in clear daylight, stated
the director of the Astronomical Observatory ANTA-
RES, Juan Reyes Feblss, whe succesded in taking
21 color photos of said objects.
He added that from one saucer were sjacted into
Space some dgmaller objects of the game shape
whose colors varied from blue to vielet.and orange.
According to Mr. Reyes arid other witnesses’ obs-
ervations is was an eval UFG seen al a height of
about § km to the North of the City. ft had an ind-
ented rim. One could see a dark dome with a dis-
tinctly white rim and one open porthole im the upper
Part.
Finally Reyes said: “it could be proved that # waa
a “mothersaucer”, Le, ao gisnt space-ship which
eypected fram is inteiios Giher Hille ships: tal ahot
eway at & vertiginous speed”. |
The sighting wes made the day before yesterday
and lasted for one hour and 40 minutes.”
OWe should remind readers that this sighting was
made from an astronomical observetory, and that an
open porthole at a height of 8000 metres ar 20,000
feet could wall be in view with ceriain types of
telescopes. Whether it was in fact & porthole thet
waa open ai that cold height and in thal thin air
might Ge a point of conjecture perhaps, bul we are
net reckoning with terrestrial aircratt here, of course.

»Convincing« UFO pictures
SANTA ANA. — A University of Colorado professor
conducting a siudy of unidentified flying objects ays
that "Phoiographic avidence of UFOs, when aveil-
able, is very convincing.”
Robert J. Low, project co-ordinator of « Govern.
ment-sponsored UFO atudy, is in Sente Ana to study
a controversial 1065 UFO photo previously diecredit-
ad by the Air Force.
Low termed the gicturs, teken by Rex Mellin of
Sante Ane, ae “among the top four or five” items of
Photographic evidence of UFOs.
Heflin, 37, a project inspector for the Orange
