D.C. began his speech by saying "power to the people, power to the people,'and stated that he had a message for the ‘pigs" which was that "you don't have Eldridge Cleaver). " He quoted on two occasions from the “Red Book” (writings of Mao Tse Tung) page 83 - 84 and said that they would not fight fire witt fire; that they (BPP) would not fight racism with racism, but would fight racism with solidarity; that they would not fight capitalism with black’capitalism, but with the implementation of socialism and socialist programs for.the people.
