After HOFFMAN's speecn, he told the students that another individual by the name of JOSEPH KELLY who happened to arrive at Potsdam State University the same date, wanted to talk to the students and adults present about the possibility of organizing a Students for a Nemocratic Society (SDS) Chapter on the Potsdam State Campus. KELLY was not wel) received and he was continually heckled through nis speech by members of the audience. The speech was then returned back to HOFFMAN due to the fa LY's remarks were apparently falling on deaf Lod ears, i es: during the entire evening the students and a 8 present reacted as “during a comedy." HOFFMAN's vulgarity and the SDS crganizer were not well received ana after the lecture only about 20 students gathered arcund the speakers at the stage.
