1. Federal Indictment,
Chicago, Illinois
On March 20, 1969, Assistant United States Attorney
(AUSA) RICHARD G, SCHULTZ, Northern.Dietrict_of Illinois (NDI),
advised that at 2:30 p.m., Central Standard Time, on March 20,
1969, Judge WILLIAM J. CAMPBELL accepted 17 indictments re-
turned by a Federal Grand Jury in Chicago, Illinois, concern-
4ng disturbances in connection with the Democratic National
Convention (DNC), held in Chicago, Illinois, in August, 1968.
The subject was among eight demonstrators indicted by the
Federal Grand Jury.
United States Attorney (5A) THOMAS FORAN, NDI,
advised on April 9, 1969, that on that date the subject was
one of eight defendants arraigned in the courtroom of United
States District Judge JULIUS H. HOFFMAN, NDI, Chicago, Illinois,
4n connection with disturbances at the DNC in Chicago, Illinois,
4n August, 1968. All of the defendants, including the subject,
Pled not guilty and a trial date was set for Septe!oer 2h, 1969.
