DEMONSTRATION IN AREA OF PRESIDENT NIXON'S v. S
SUMMER WHITEHOUSE, KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA,
AUGUST 9, 1972
After obtaining a permit from the Miami Police
Department on August 8, 1972, the Youth International Party
Arranged a caravan which left Flamingo Park, Miami Beach,
-: about noon on August 9, 1972. About 14 cars and @ open trucks
were involved and it proceeded to the vicinity of President
NIXON's Summer Whitehouse, Key Biscayne, Florida. As had been
pre-arranged with the Miami Police, the vehicles were parked
= about 200 yards trom the guardhouse which sets by the main road
Se and leads to the Summer Whitehouse. The demonstrators marched
~ to the site to the strains of Yankee Doodle, carrying a Viet
? Cong flag in front. There were about 70-80 demonstrators and
they gathered on the yard across the road from the guardhouse,.
baeae The demonstration lasted from about 1:10 PH = 1:40 PM. The
demonstrators had signs ‘The Mad Bomber"; "NIXON's Victory, Our
Defeat"; “Only Pawns in Their Game"; "This Country is too Young
to Die"; and “Where is the Peace You Promised?”,
